The chapters on measuring effectiveness, decision analysis, and making information useful for decision makers as well as several appendices are entirely new.

When I got this book in the mail, it had the book cover which was fine. But the book itself was in bad shape. It has a musty smell to it, like it had been in an attic for years. The book hard covers are slightly bent. There is underlining throughout the book. There are magic marker lines on the top of the book pages. I paid the price for a book in excellent condition. This was not.

Traitor?

As a concerned American I have been following all the issues surrounding GTMO bay since the debacle originally began & although I follow several news media outlets & am part of numerous mailing lists for activist groups that speak out against GTMO I have never found anyone that speaks as transparently about such a complicated issue as Private Holdbrooks does.

Holdbrooks does not in my opinion try to sway the opinions of his readers one way or another concerning 9/11, Terrorism, or even GTMO, Rather he simply tells his side as a soldier, an American, & now a Muslim, The end result is a very worthy historical account of a dark time for both Holdbrook's & the USA; a Dark time that through passionate human perseverance & insightful spirituality Holdbrooks eventually overcame & now shares with us.

The author's writing style is much like his interviews & public speaking you can view on you tube, it's fluid, well thought out & concerned with fact not speculation or indoctrination. I enjoyed reading this book & would recommend it to anyone following the continuing injustice's at GTMO as well as the continuing erosion of our civil liberties here in the USA.

Now I see why the prisoners are on hunger strike

The book was interesting as it provided a first hand account of what was seen and and experienced in the place that we only get a glimpse of from the media, and from both a prisoners and guards perspective. It was also unique story in that one sees the evolution and journey of Holdbrooks through his life and how his life has turned out, something no one would have predicted. This is something that I feel everyone needs to read and really grasp because you won't find this on Fox or CNN. This really helped to put a face to the prisoners, who we otherwise would not really give a second thought. A commend Holdbrooks for having the courage to write this and share this important experience. Not a heavy read, but will have a lasting impact.

Thoroughly enjoyed "Traitor?" I couldn't put it down. It's amazing that one can find themselves in hell. I highly recommend this book to anyone regardless of your own political view or religious beliefs. This could be anyone's story.

If your a student and your class requires you to get the 5th edition of this book, don't get the 5th ed. You will be fine with this edition. It is is pretty much the same thing. The chapters talk about the same thing, same pictures, and exact same words. The only difference i found was that they pretty much cut and pasted the sections within the chapter and put it in a different order, so page number is a little different. But all the sections are in the same chapter. Get this edition if your on a budget. Its the same book different cover. I mean $20 vs. $110?

Please, please make sure that you talk to your instructor before purchasing this book to see if you need an access key with the book. This book DOES NOT automatically come with the access key. The access key is a code that you enter online to gain online access to all of the additional resources that the class has to offer, which is called the Development Lab. My professor did not use the Development Lab in her lectures so this book was perfect for me! However, if you need the key, it is probably going to be cheaper to purchase it all together, as a set. Otherwise, I did see where Amazon was selling the access key for $40, which was still cheaper than what my school was selling it for. I read the other reviews prior to purchasing this book and it seems as though this is where people were the most frustrated with purchasing this book. So, make sure you talk to your professor first! Concise with current views on life development psychology.

I used this book in our Life Development Psychology. In the course of my study, everything I needed to know is in the book. Feldman is very thorough and organized. I have read other books on this subject in our library but by far this is a superior book. This book deserves 5 stars.
